
Emma Hurst is a provisional psychologist who works as an animal advocate in her writings and workshops. Emma holds a BA in Psychology, a PGDip Psychology, and is currently completing her Master's in Health Psychology. Emma has worked as a child therapist, a mental health worker at an inpatient adolescent facility, and as a coordinator at a drug and alcohol counselling centre. She has since found her true calling in animal rights and currently works as the Campaigns Coordinator at Animal Liberation.
Emma combines her psychological knowledge with her campaign management, incorporating the priciples of psychology, particularly positive psychology, into her activism work. She is currently completing her first book that incorporates positive psychology with positive experiences with animals, and how the two interact to create a more fulfilling and compassionate life.
Emma believes that when we show kindness and compassion and extend love to all creatures of the earth, we open ourselves to a compassion attraction. That is, the further we can extend love beyond our own species, the wider we open the doors in our lives to receive joy, prosperity and love!
Emma herself experienced a profound shift in her life when she began to advocate for the animals. She has found that by living with compassion she increased the love, health, and wealth in her life, as well as time to enjoy them.
